TECC76 Button Bits Birthday Wishes

 

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketches!  I used my new set from Papertrey Ink called Button Bits!  I am in love with this set!  Each stamp is designed with a spot for buttons!!  So clever!  And the sentiments are perfect!  You'll be seeing this set alot from me....

These buttons are also from Papertrey and all of these different shapes came from the same pack!  LOVE it!  You can also see from the close up the embossed dots on the Lemon Tart cardstock.  The dots are from Papertrey's Polka Dot Basics II and were stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The entire card was made with products from Papertrey.   The color combo is Raspberry Fizz, Ripe Avocado, Lemon Tart and Stamper's Select White.  The ribbon is Raspberry Fizz Satin Ribbon.

Paper Pretties Sneak Peek

 

Hi everyone!  I have another sneak peek of a new set to be released by Paper Pretties this Saturday, August 1st.   It is the perfect companion set for Make a Splash Sophia called Summer Fun and includes this darling pool and sentiment plus many other images and ADORABLE sentiments!

I stamped Sophia in Memento Black ink on PTI White, colored her in with Copic markers and cut her out.  The pool was stamped and colored the same way and I added some Crystal Effects to the water to make it look like water!  The DP is Tea Party from SU!.  The sketch is Cindy Haffner's sketch from the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges.  And if you think you're seeing double, you are!  My fellow Paper Pretties DT member, Christi Thorsen, made a card almost exactly like mine yesterday!  And here I thought I was so clever!!  SNORT!

On Saturday, August 1st Paper Pretties will be having their monthly Stampin' In Your Jammies party!! The party starts at 8pm EST and will last until 10pm. We will have three challenges, so be sure to come and play along!!  Besides the challenges, chatter, and all around fun, we will also be releasing two new sets, Aloha Sophia to the public, and introducing our new Stamp Of The Month. The sneak peeks have already begun, so I hope to see you there!!

Prettie Wednesday Challenge and Sneak Peek...

 

Two weeks ago Jodi challenged the Prettie girls to use our favorite embellishment on our cards!  I chose to use brads, 'cause I love them and paired them with this new soon to be released set from Paper Pretties called Everyday Picnic.  Isn't that basket gorgeous?  And it's so fun to color!!  I used my new favorite DP from Stampin' Up! called Thoroughly Modern.  It's hard to tell from the picture, but there is Crystal Effects on the wine glasses.  They are super shiny IRL!  The sketch is Mojo Monday Sketch #97.

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #32

 

Hi everyone!!   It's time for Mercy's Tuesday sketch!!  YIPPEE!!  This week's sketch is awesome!  I did veer a bit from the original by replacing the top rectangle layer with the flower.  I tried the flower on the rectangle but just couldn't get it to look how I wanted!  I also combined this sketch with another Dare To Get Dirty Challenge from Sharon Harnist, to use red, black and white on a card! (DTGD09StamperSharon)

I used a new set from Papertrey Ink called In Bloom.  The flowers in this set are so beautiful!  I stamped two of the flowers in Fresh Snow Ink (thanks, Becky!) on Pure Poppy DP, cut them out and layered one on top of the other with a dimensional.  The background layers were all run through the Cuttlebug with the Stampin' Up! Finial Press embossing folder.  The ribbon is Pure Poppy Polka Dot from PTI.  The sentiment is from also from a PTI set called Mega Mixed Messages.

I absolutely love this color combo!!  I thought I didn't like the new In Colors from SU! but was I ever wrong!  They are brighter than colors I normally use, but they are really growing on me!!  This set from SU!, Simple Friendship, is also a favorite of mine.  Hope you like it!!

TECC75 Butterflies For You

 

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketches!!  I combined this week's sketch with three of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.  The three challenges are Bonnie Sharp's (eggette) Flap Your Wings Challenge and Becca Feeken's (Becca Stamps) Cut It Out Challenge and Jen del Muro's (genie1314) Tag Art challenge.  I look forward to the Dare To Get Dirty challenges every year!  If you're not familiar with them, you can check them out here.  To take part in the Dare to Get Dirty challenges you must be a FAN CLUB Member at Splitcoast.

I used my MUCH NEGLECTED Stampin' Up! set, Great Friend.  I stamped the butterflies in Dusty Durango  on Whisper White and cut them out with Paper Snips.   I adhered them to some layered circle punches (Crushed Curry and Whisper White) and folded their wings out for some dimension.  The fancy little shape behind the cirlces were cut using one of the Sizzix Lots Of Tags die from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment was stamped in Dusty Durango on Whisper White, cut out with a die from Ribbon Tags Trio (Spellbinders) and then sponged with some Crushed Curry ink before removing it from the die.  The ribbon is the new Dusty Durango Polka Dot ribbon.  DP is Razzleberry Lemonade from Stampin' Up!  Aside from the ribbon tag, this entire card is Stampin' Up!

I used my much neglected set from Paper Pretties called Simply Special.  I love coloring this watering can!!  I stamped the image in Memento black ink and colored it in with Copics.  It is framed in Circle and Labels Three Nestabilities.  The DP is SU! and is called Tea Party.  The ribbon is PTI Fresh Snow Twill and the sentiment is from a Papertrey set called Birthday Basics!

Jessie's Get Well Wishes Blog Hop!!

 

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Jessie's "Get Well Wishes" blog hop!  Jessie had oral surgery on Monday to remove 7 teeth and is home recuperating and all the Prettie girls wanted to make her feel better with a surprise blog hop!  If you arrived here from Jana's blog, then you're at the right place.  If you just happened upon my blog then head to over to Christie's blog to see the hop from the beginning!

I used my still favorite Paper Pretties stamp, Cuddle Me Sophia and combined her with some DP that I think Jessie really likes and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.  Oh and I forgot to add that this sketch was the sketch that Jessie gave us as our challenge two weeks ago!  I loves me a good sketch!!  Anywho...Sophia is colored with Copics and framed with Oval Nesties.  The DP is the new Cottage Wall from Stampin' Up! and the ribbon is Fresh Snow Twill from Papertrey.
