Today the Trendsetters are showing you sneaks of two new sets, Hunny Bunnies and Bear Hugs! My sample is made with Hunny Bunnies, but I have to say that both of these sets are SO STINKIN' ADORABLE!!  I can't wait to play around more with each of them!

 

I paired the bunny with some October Afternoon Farm Fresh papers.  The layout is Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch from a couple weeks ago.  The bunny was colored with Copics and popped up for dimension.  See that heart he's holding?  Well, there are a few items from the set that he can hold!  Think carrots and easter eggs.....ACKKK!  So cute!

I also wanted to give a HUGE Thank You to Jessica, owner of There She Goes, for this wonderful opportunity to design for her company for the past six months.  It's been so much fun and truly an honor!  Thank you, Jessica!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #57 & Joanne's Blogaversary Challenge

 

We didn't have much going on around here today so I carved out a little stamping time for myself!  I stamped for no reason but for fun!   I have purchased quite a few of the new Pure Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things and am slowly getting each of them inky!  I pulled out "My Umbrella" Pure Innocence and paired it with Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch #57, and Joanne Basile's Blogaversary Challenge to use the paper piecing technique.  I loved Karen's sketch and I love to paper piece, so this card came together easily!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #54

Hi there and Happy Sunday!  I hope you're all having a great weekend!  We are having fabulous weather right now....sunny and in the mid 60's!  Hubby, the girls and I went to the Farmer's Market this morning and the girls wore short sleeved shirts!  Love it....especially with all the rain and crazy weather we've had lately!

I got back from CHA early last week and I think that CHA really sucked the mojo from me!  I was exhausted all week and finally feel like I'm getting back to my old stamping self!  I had SO MUCH FUN and met so many INCREDIBLE people!  I roomed in a house with the girls from the Taylored Expressions design team and will hopefully get my pics uploaded so I can show you!  It was a whirlwind (long) weekend, but I bonded with some FANTASTIC ladies and was so sad to leave!

 
I was itching to stamp something today so I turned to my friend, Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch!  Karen was one of my roomie's at CHA and she is HYSTERICAL!  She has such a dry sense of humor and we clicked immediately!  If you're reading this, Karen, I miss you, lady!!  Ssssssssssso Much!!  LOL!

I broke out the new Love Everywhere set from Taylored Expressions and got to work.  I stamped the balloon in Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip ink onto Choice Buttercream and cut it out with Classic Circle Nestabilities.  I added some Martha Stewart Glitter to the balloon with a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen.  The DP is My Mind's Eye Be Loved and is from the Valentine Key Ingredients Kit.  The scallop hearts on the left were done with a Martha Stewart Punch that I picked up at Mike's last year.  The ribbon is Pure Poppy Twill from Papertrey.  It's hard to tell from the picture, but I scored the Choice Buttercream base in a diamond pattern using a Scor-Pal.

There will be a lot going on here at my blog this week as I will be rejoining Mercy's Tuesday Sketch after a bit of a break (hubby broke his foot, hard to stamp but now he's back at work, break! LOL!) and the Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks start on Wednesday and go until Friday!  You won't want to miss this release!  Such cute stuff!  If you were at CHA and stopped by the Taylored Expressions Booth, then you got a sneak peek of the new stuff!!  Hope to see you this week!

Merry Mass Production with Taylored Expressions

Hi everyone!  A few days ago Jami issued a challenge to the Baker's Dozen Design Team to create a set of 4 -10 identical or very similar Christmas cards that could be easily mass produced!  I thought this sounded like a fun challenge so I decided to play!  You also have a chance to participate in this challenge so make sure to check out Taylor's blog for all of the details!!

I made four cards using the newly released and completely adorable set from Taylored Expressions, Wings of Joy.  The sketch is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch from our very own Karen Giron.  I thought this sketch was perfect for this Joy stamp!

I wanted this to be an easy project, so I cut all of my elements first (die cuts, DP, card base, etc),  did all of the stamping and coloring at one time, then the assembly.  Easy Peasy!    I stamped Joy four times in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Snow White, colored in with Copics, and framed with Oval Nestabilities.  The DP is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and the cardstock and ribbon is from Papertrey Ink.  

Instead of making all of my cards totally identical, I decided to keep the sketch the same, but changed up the colors and DP on two of the cards!  It's hard to tell from the pictures, but I added a row of machine stitching just above the scallops on each card.  I couldn't leave off the stitching!!  LOL!

Kindred Sweet Sunday Sketch #23

 

Hi everyone!  Over the weekend I took a little "me" time and made this card.  I was blog surfing and came across this fabulous sketch on Karen Giron's Blog.  Karen hosts what she calls the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge every Sunday so if you are a sketch lover like myself don't forget to pay Karen a little visit!  This particular sketch is from a few weeks ago.  I thought the new Verve set, Kindred Spirits would be perfect for the five squares.  I stamped the fleur de lis from the set five times in Pure Poppy ink on PTI White cardstock and puched them out with a 1" square punch.  I used square Nestabilities for the black scallop squares behind the main images.  The ribbon and button are from Papertrey and the pearls were a gift from my friend, Julee Tilman!  Thanks, Julee!  The finished card is 3 1/4 x 6 1/2.

Prettie Monday SSSC09

 

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  We had a nice weekend that started out eating at my In-Laws (my MIL is a FANTASTIC cook) and ended up with Roller Skating on Sunday at a local skating rink.  My girls were invited to a birthday party at the roller rink that I went to as a "cool teenager"  LOL!  I hadn't skated in about 25 years and I think I had more fun then they did!  LOL!

So for today's Prettie Monday I made a card for a friend who is going through a rough time right now so I naturally used Cuddle Me Sophia.  I know I have said this many times before, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Sophia!  I also happen to know that my friend loves this particular Sophia, too, so I hope she likes the card and knows that I'm thinkin' about her!!

I used the new A Walk In The Park DSP from Stampin' Up!  I am a huge fan of pink and gray together so I just love these particular patterns from the pack.  I recently found a new source for sketches on Karen Giron's blog, The Sweetest Thing.  She calls her sketches the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and this particular sketch is SSSC #9.  Woohoo!!  You know I love a good sketch!!
