Hi everyone!! I haven't had much stamping time in the last few days, but I just had to share with you this darling diaper cake that I made for my girlfriend, Kristina, who is expecting her SURPRISE third baby! She already has two girls, 7 & 5, and was done having children, or so she thought!! This time she is having a boy. After they got over the shock, they were thrilled to know they were having a boy!! This cake was a huge hit at the shower!
I got the idea of making a diaper cake when I saw this ADORABLE cake on Susan Liles' blog, susiestampalot. She also gives a great tutorial, if you're interested in making one. So easy, just takes a little bit of time!!
This took me a few hours to make. I enlisted the help of my trusty assistants (my daughters) and we had the diapers rolled in no time. The paper and "it's a boy" font is from a scrapbook kit I got at Michael's by My Mind's Eye. I loved the colors in the kit. The center of the cake is a bottle of baby powder and a baby bottle. I will definitely be making this again. I hope someone I know turns up pregnant soon!! LOL!
One more thing, I announced the winner of my blog candy on the previous post in case you were wondering who won....
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have a great day!
~Jackie

Wow this is just so adorable. You did a fantastic job. I love the elephant on the top a perfect touch. If she's careful she could use the bands in a scrapbook for her new little one - that would be adorable. TFS :)

This is the cutest diaper cake I've EVER seen, Jackie! I love the way you decorated it, and way the diapers are rolled and stacked is absolute perfection!
I can tell I'm getting old because I don't know any pregnant women anymore ... ughhh! Maybe someday when my kids' generation starts having babies I can attempt one of these cakes!

Hey guys if you’re looking for an awesome gift for someone. Look no further! Check out the website www.cakeandaprayer.com. I gave my aunt a cake and a prayer for her baby shower and she was blown away by it. The great thing about the gift was that the website had pre-written gift messages. I was surprised at the quality of the gift and the price. It included the gift card, cake (which was so good we all wanted more) and a framed scripture with my name signed on the bottom. Trust me you will not be disappointed! I used this discount code (GB080108) and got $10 off, try it!

This is a much cleaner, classy version than the baby toy volcanoes I've seen. Very cool!
