It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketch Samplers! I must say that this week's sketch was SUPAH fun!
I inked up this beautiful coneflower from Anna Wight's set called Blossoms and Butterflies. I masked off the middle coneflower to get them clustered together. They were colored with Copics and the middle flower is popped up on dimensionals. The colors are a bit out of the box for me. I used Chocolate Chip and White (staples for me) but added in some bright Summer Sunrise from Papertrey. I love this combo! The sentiment is from another one of Anna's sets called Blooming Expressions. Notice the stitching.....yes, I'm addicted to my Sew Mini.....happy sigh....
Now it's your turn to try the sketch. Taylor will choose the most clever, creative and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on her blog during Cupcake Friday. You're welcome to create something other than a card, but just stick to the sketch as closely as possible and you'll be eligible for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you upload your sketch to Splitcoast, use keyword TECC56 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 56). Leave a comment on Taylor's blog with a link to your blog or gallery upload so Taylor can check it out. The deadline to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler is Monday February 16th at 8:00 am PST.
This week's Featured Cupcake Sampler is Pam Varnell! You can check out Pam's sample on her blog, The Stamping Addict. Woohoo, Pam!!!

So pretty, Jackie! The stitching adds such a wonderful detail. Whenever I see stitching on a card I always tell myself it's time to learn how to use a sewing machine... maybe this will be the time! :)
