Did you know that there is a weekly sketch challenge over in the Verve Forum on Splitcoaststampers? It's called Viva La Verve. Every Friday, our own Diva, Amber Hight offers up a sketch challenge with a {TWIST}. If you enter each week's sketch challenge with a {TWIST} then you become eligible for the GRAND PRIZE.....the next month's FULL STAMP RELEASE!! You can check out all the details here.
The {TWIST} this week was to make your sketch card using MONOCHROMATIC colors with one neutral. I have only recently started a love affair with Pacific Point and decided that I would use it paired with Bashful Blue. I couldn't stand Pacific Point when it came out, but it is growing on me!! I especially love it paired with white....so clean and crisp!
Here are a few details: I used the Verve set Thankful Blossoms. The sentiment and butterfly were stamped in Pacific Point. I cut out the butterfly and adhered it to a layered circle of PP and PTI White. Before cutting out the sentiment panel with the Mega Curved Rectangle Nesties, I stamped one of the flowers from the set in Bashful Blue around and over the sentment. I embossed the background PP panel with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and stitched it with my sewing machine. The eyelet ribbon is from the Dress Up Ribbon Originals (SU!). The Pacific Point DP is from The Good Morning Sunshine DSP pack by SU!
I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!! We're looking at another day of rain! I love it when it rains because I don't feel guilty staying in and stamping!! Maybe I'll get something accomplished today!!
