Hi everyone! Before I get to the Paper Pretties challenge card (which by the way is late!) I have to say that I am completely struggling creatively lately. I don't usually share a lot of personal stuff on my blog, but just a couple of weeks ago my cousin died unexpectedly and her death has really devastated my Dad's family. She was only 40 and left behind two children (15 & 13). Although her and I were not very close, I have seen what it has done to her children and her sister ( who I was very close to growing up), my Aunt....everybody. It has really made me think of my kids and how they would handle losing me or my husband, Frank. For this reason I have not had any desire or motivation to stamp, thus the lack of posts lately. I am feeling better today and just felt the need to share. So hug your kids and tell your family you love them....
So onto today's Prettie Challenge.....Two weeks ago Jackie challenged the Prettie girls to make a monochromatic card. Now let me start by saying that I AM NOT A PURPLE PERSON, so I decided to challenge myself to use purple. I used the new ADORABLE June Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties called Give Thanks. I stamped her in Memento Black ink on PTI White, colored her in with Copics and paper pieced her dress. I cut her out with circle Nesties and layered her on two different sized Labels Three Nesties. All of the paper and ribbon is from Papertrey. The colors are Plum Pudding, Lavender Moon and the Bitty Dots DP. The gems are lavender self adhesive rhinestones and I think they are from K & Co. Can you see the embossing on the white layer? That was done with a new A2 embossing folder from QuicKutz called Diamonds and Dots. I found it recently at a LSS. The embossing folder exactly like the Cuttlebug embossing folders! Awesome!!
It's my turn to issue the Paper Pretties challenge so I would like to see the girls make an ALL WHITE card with the EXCEPTION OF THE IMAGE. It can have as many layers as you want but must be white on white!! I have seen this done on other people's blogs and love the look!
Don't forget to check out what the other Prettie's did with today's challenge!

If you're still here, then thank you for listening! Have a great day!
Awww Jackie that is so sad. Although I don't notice your struggle in any of your cards (they are ALL so gorgeous!), I'm so glad you shared and I will definitely be saying a prayer for your family. That is so awful to hear.
Onto your card-WOW! It's beautiful! I love all the layers, that gorgeous new embossing folder (gotta have it now hee hee) and the purple is perfection! Your challenge is going to be a CHALLENGE LOL!!!! But hey, that's why they're called challenges, right? I cant wait, actually-I'm sure what our little group of Pretties whips up will be nothing short of amazing!
Big hugs to you, sweetie! Love, Jess ;)

Hi Jackie,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It is always so devastating but even more so when it happens close to home.
Thank you for the white on white challenge. I have made a card for it but am unsure of where to post my link?
