Hi everyone! It's day one of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions and today we are sneaking a peek at the brand new set, The Places You'll Go. This set is perfect for the graduate, the reader or that special someone in your life! I know I will get so much use out of this set, especially with two little girls who are in school and love to read....well at least one of them loves to read! LOL!
This set is also part of the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree series of charitable stamps. For the months of September, October and November when you purchase this set you'll be helping to support the Books for Kids Foundation. Their mission is to promote literacy among all children with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool-aged children. Books for Kids creates libraries, donates books, and partners with literacy programs to develop the critical early foundation and skills which young children need to be successful in life. For each The Places You'll Go stamp set sold during the quarter, Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 to the Books for Kids Foundation. Note: These sets are the same deeply etched rubber you have come to love! However, in order to cut down on manufacturing costs and donate more to charity, they come as one sheet of rubber and will need to be trimmed when you receive them.
The rocket image and sentiment on my first card is ALL ONE STAMP! It reads " I love you right up to the moon - and back." So sweet! This card also features papers, ribbon and buttons from the coordinating key ingredients.
I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored in with Copic markers. I stamped the rocket a second time and popped it up on dimensionals. I also added some Stardust Stickles to the moon and stars for some sparkle. I framed the image with Circle Nestabilities and embossed the square behind the main image with the Swiss Dots embossing folder with my Cuttlebug. The layout is Mojo Monday sketch #101.
This next project features the Maya Road chipboard book that is included with the coordinating Key Ingredients kit. I covered the book with two of the patterned papers and some of the beautiful ribbon. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream, cut out using the Labels 4 Nesties and sponged with Crushed Curry ink before removing from the die. The balloon was paper pieced with some coordinating patterned paper, colored with Copics and cut out. The balloon and sentiment were both popped up on dimensionals.
