Verve Sneak Peek and a Challenge....

Hi everyone!  There is a new Verve release on Friday and Julee is starting the week off with a bang!  A few of the Diva's are hosting some fun challenges this week and we'd love for you to participate!   You can find out all the details here! 

I am hosting a Technique Challenge....Distressing!  I RARELY distress my cards, but I LOVE how two of my fellow Diva's, Laurie Schmidlin and Tosha Leyendekker, make such BEAUTIFUL distressed cards and let's just say that if I didn't challenge myself then I wouldn't do it!  LOL!  So if you'd like to play along with my challenge, you can check out all the details here.

 

Now onto the sneak peek.....I used a soon to be released set called Harvest Blessings.  This set is just Autumn goodness at it's best!  I paired it with the beautiful new Autumn Abundance patterned paper from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped the wreath in Dark Chocolate ink, colored in the flowers with Copic markers and started cutting....until I had the entire wreath cut out!  I stamped the flowers a second time and popped them up on dimensionals.  Each layer of cardstock and patterned paper was sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink by Ranger.  I also took my distressing tool the the edges of each layer.  I added some fun stitching using a chocolate colored thread, alternating between a straight stitch and a zig zag stitch.  I tried to make the wreath look like it was hanging on the ribbon!  The sketch is Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try from this past Saturday.
