Hi there!! I hope you're all having a great weekend! We have been busy trying to get the house and yard spic and span because we are having the entire family over this week for my DD's 11th birthday! The weather here has been beautiful the last couple days so we're taking advantage and getting some yard work done....well, hubby is! LOL!
I made a card this past Thursday for the Papertrey Blog Hop and loved it so much that I decided to make a set! The original I made is the Lemon Tart card in the back. If you want to see it up close, you can click here. I used the exact same design but used Hawaiian Shores, Berry Sorbet and Plum Pudding for the other three! I think this is my new favorite set from Papertrey called Year of Flowers: Daffodils. It's so beautiful you don't need a whole lot to dress it up!
Well, that's all for now! Kids went to bed early and hubby and I have a date to watch a movie together!! I hope you have a great day!
Stamps: Year of Flowers: Daffodils (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Dark Chocolate, White, Lemon Tart, Hawaiian Shores, Berry Sorbet, Plum Pudding, Pretty Pastels DP (All Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Accessories & Tools: Fresh Snow Twill Ribbon, Vintage Picnic Impression Plate, Dark Chocolate Button, Medium Scallop Die, Foam Tape
Love the plum!! I mean I loved the yellow but the plum is my fave!

How different this card looks on various colored backgrounds. I think the Plum Pudding is my favorite. Love the patterned paper on the leaves. Nice touch.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this colorful set!! And the ruffled ribbon at the button is the perfect embellishment, it mimics the "ruffles" of the daffodil petals! Splendid work!

Hi Nancy!
Sorry its taken so long for me to get back to you! I used a tutorial for the ribbon ruffle that was done in the My Favorite Things forum on Splitcoaststampers, but I cant find it for the life of me!! It was the in Howd they do that thread and most of the threads that were there seem to be gone!
Ill try to explain what I did....
I ran a piece of scor-tape across the front of the card and with my ribbon still on the spool I just kept folding it over...sticking it down....folding it over....sticking it down (starting from the left side) When I had all the loops done and across the card, I cut the ribbon and then used a glue under each loop to hold it in place. Does that make sense? I hope that helps you!
Thank you for the wonderful compliments you left me on my blog! Have a nice day!
~Jackie
