Hi everyone!!  It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's sketches!!  This week's sketch is also a contest, so make sure you read all the way to the end of this post....you don't want to miss it!!

I used the darling Taylored Expressions set Home Sweet Home and paired it with the new Christmas Key Ingredients Kit!  When I saw this dp from the Jolly by Golly line by Cosmo Cricket, I knew I wanted to use it with the choir cuppie from this set!  Both of my girls are in choir at school and this card will go to their Choir Teacher, Mrs. Williams, at Christmastime!  I stamped cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Buttercream and colored him in with Copics.  Cuppie is up on dimensionals and I used Liquid Applique on his scarf and ear warmers.  The snowflake chipboard was colored with Copics and the scallops on the green cardstock were done with a scallop edge punch.

TE Sneak Peek Day 2 plus TESC85!

Hi everyone and welcome to day TWO of the Taylored Expressions sneak peeks!  Today the Baker's Dozen is sharing samples made with THE MOST ADORABLE new set from Taylor's Whimsical Wishes line called Wings of Joy along with the coordinating Christmas Key Ingredients Kit and Bundle items.   I have two cards to show you today and a lot of info to share with you, so grab a cuppa and get comfy!!

 
  
Don't you love Taylor's sketches?  I look forward to them each week!  I thought this Joy stamp would be perfect for the sketch.  This stamp is just ONE stamp!!  I know....I can't stand it, it's so cute!  It was stamped on Choice Buttercream in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics, and framed with Oval Nestabilities.  The Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly DP, cardstock, ribbon and snowflake chipboard are all from the Christmas Key Ingredients Kit.   The buttons are from the Christmas bundle (more info at the bottom of this post).  The Jolly By Golly DP is the perfect DP to go with this set!  The KaiserCraft adhesive gems are from Taylored Expressions, but are not included in the Key Ingredients or the Christmas Bundle.

For this card I used the FUN and VERY whimsical Christmas Tree!  It was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics and framed with the Labels Four Nestabilities.  I used the same DP and cardstock as the first card but used another ribbon included in the Key Ingredients Kit.  The sentiment is one long stamp so I masked it to fit in theNestabilities Tag Trio die.

TESC84 What's Brewing?

Hi everyone!  I wasn't able to participate in Taylor's sketch on Friday because I had the craziest week and it got even crazier on Friday and Saturday!  On top of that, it has been SO HOT here!  I am so ready for Fall and just wish the heat would take a hike!  We are supposed to have a cool down early this week....I'm looking so forward to it!

I sat down tonight and made this card!  I used the newly released Spooky Expressions set from Taylored Expressions.  I hadn't used this image yet and thought it was perfect for Taylor's sketch!  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics.  It was cut out with Circle Nestabilities.  I added some Lavender Stickles to the bubbles to give them some shine.  My sewing machine is still making this wonky stitching, so I just went with it!  The ribbon is from PTI and the DP is Basic Grey Eerie.

TESC83 Verve Sneak Peek!

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Sketch Challenges!!  I've paired this week's sketch with a little Verve Sneak Peek!!   This is a FABULOUS sketch and I really love how my card turned out!

This new Verve set is called Harvest Blessings and will be available following the release party tonight!   I stamped the three different patterned leaves on Vintage Cream cardstock in the following Papertrey colors:  Plum Pudding, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate and Summer Sunrise.  Each one was cut out and popped up on a dimensional.  The sentiment was stamped in Dark Chocolate and was punched out with the Key Tag Punch.  I added a few Taylor's Tiny Twinkles for some sparkle!  The center square was turned on it's point, popped up on dimensionals and then the sentiment was adhered with more dimensionals.  It's hard to tell from the picture, but the sentiment sticks up higher than the rest of the elements on the card.  It looks so dimensional IRL!!

TESC82 Toad-ally Awesome

 

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Sketch Challenges!! It's another great sketch this week!  I can see myself using this one over and over...kind of like a go to layout!!!

I used the darling new set from Taylored Expressions called Trick or Sweet II.  Isn't this little cuppie frog the cutest?  I paired him with some Halloween DP from Stampin' Up! called Cast A Spell.  I stamped the cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored him with Copic markers and cut him out with Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities.  Before removing the image from the die, I sponged some Pumpkin Pie Classic ink all around him, leaving the edge white!  I LOVE this look!  The sentiment is also from the Trick or Sweet II set and was punched out with the Modern Label Punch.  I added some stitching and brads and I was done!

TE Sneak Peeks ~ Day 2.....Plus TESC81!

 

Hi everyone!  Not only is it Friday and time for another one of Taylor's Sketch challenges, but it is also day 2 of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions!  Today I'm previewing the new set called Spooky Expressions along with the coordinating Halloween Key Ingredients!  Oh my word do I LOVE this set!  It is spooky, creepy and fun!  I only used TWO stamps from this set of 17 stamps.  Isn't that tree AWESOME?

So here are a few details:  I stamped that FABULOUS creepy tree in Versamark onto Intense Kiwi cardstock and then heat embossed with black embossing powder.  It was framed with Circle Nestabilities and before removing from the die, was sponged with some Black Soot Distress Ink.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black ink and punched out with the Word Window Punch.  The DP is the new Basic Grey Eerie from the Halloween Key Ingredients as is the sparkly kiwi ribbon.  The adhesive gems are NOT from the Halloween Key Ingredients (sorry).  I added a little black stitching because I felt it needed a little sumthin' sumthin'...

This set and the Halloween Key Ingredients and a few other goodies are all part of the Spooky Expressions Bundle available on Saturday September 5th at 8:00 AM PST!

TESC80 Chill-ax, Chickie!

 

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and it's time for another of Taylor's Sketch Challenges!  I haven't stamped in a few days because of my Vertigo, but I'm feeling MUCH better so after a much needed haircut and highlight this morning, I couldn't wait to get home and kick my missing mojo in the behind!  Not sure that I accomplished that, but I did make a card!

I used a new Taylored Expressions set called Chillax, from the Whimsical Wishes Line.  This is the cutest darned set!  The image was stamped in Memento Black ink on PTI Vintage Cream and colored in with Copics.  I framed it with Circle Nesties and Blossom Nestie.  The sentiment was cut out with the Ribbon Tag Trio (Spellbinders) and was tied with a piece of Hibuscus Burst Bitty Dot Ribbon from PTI.  The scallops at the bottom were done with the Embossed Curve Edge Punch by EK Success.  The gems are from Amuse.

TESC79 Team Edward!!

 

Hi everyone!  It has been a long three days here at my house.  On Thursday evening I had a major dizzy spell and have not felt the same since.  After waking up yesterday (Saturday) morning, I felt like I was going to pass out so hubby and my girls took me to Urgent Care.  Turns out I am suffering from Vertigo (BPPV to be exact).  I started feeling much better last night but am still not 100%.  Since I was feeling a little better, I decided to try to finish the card that I started for Taylor's sketch challenge on Thursday.

My good friend, Jodi Collins, sent me some of these ADORABLE Edward images last week and I couldn't wait to ink up my beloved Edward!  Thanks, girl!!  Jodi and I have an ongoing friendly argument about whose boyfriend Edward really is.  We both know he's my boyfriend, but Jodi refuses to admit it!  (GRIN)  Anywho...I colored him in with Copic markers and cut him out with my new Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities.  Before removing the image from the die, I sponged some Crushed Curry Ink around to make him glow. The color combo is Dark Chocolate (PTI), Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry.  The ribbon is Dusty Durango Polka Dot, just turned on the other side.  The embossed BG was done with a new Sizzix Texturz Plate from Stampin' Up.  This pic shows how I made Edward sparkle with some Buttercream Shimmerz.  I got that idea from Jodi, too!!

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and it's time for another Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge.  This week's sketch literally kicked my behind!!  For the life of me I couldn't get the smaller rectangle on the right side to work, so I went with a bow instead!!  I used a set I've had for awhile, Scattered Showers, by Papertrey Ink.  I went with a pretty simple (for me) card as I have eight 8 year olds coming over for my DD, Sarah's birthday party in just a few hours!  The card is pretty self explanatory so I won't go into great detail!  If you have any questions, feel free to email me!

TESC77 Pocket Full of Posies

 

Hi everyone!  It's Friday so it's time for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge!!  I LOVE Friday's!!  This week's sketch is a super fun one!!  My circle is a bit big, but I really wanted to use this darling pocket image from the Unity July Kit of the Month!

I stamped the pocket in Fresh Snow Ink (PTI) onto Enchanted Evening cardstock, crumpled it up to give it more of a fabric look and then distressed the edges.  The flowers were colored in with Copics and popped up for dimension.  I finally broke down and ordered the new Modern Label punch from Stampin' Up! and I'm so glad I did!!  I just love it!  It fits so many sentiments!!
