Paper Pretties Sneak Peek

 

Hi everyone!  I have another sneak peek of a new set to be released by Paper Pretties this Saturday, August 1st.   It is the perfect companion set for Make a Splash Sophia called Summer Fun and includes this darling pool and sentiment plus many other images and ADORABLE sentiments!

I stamped Sophia in Memento Black ink on PTI White, colored her in with Copic markers and cut her out.  The pool was stamped and colored the same way and I added some Crystal Effects to the water to make it look like water!  The DP is Tea Party from SU!.  The sketch is Cindy Haffner's sketch from the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges.  And if you think you're seeing double, you are!  My fellow Paper Pretties DT member, Christi Thorsen, made a card almost exactly like mine yesterday!  And here I thought I was so clever!!  SNORT!

On Saturday, August 1st Paper Pretties will be having their monthly Stampin' In Your Jammies party!! The party starts at 8pm EST and will last until 10pm. We will have three challenges, so be sure to come and play along!!  Besides the challenges, chatter, and all around fun, we will also be releasing two new sets, Aloha Sophia to the public, and introducing our new Stamp Of The Month. The sneak peeks have already begun, so I hope to see you there!!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #32

 

Hi everyone!!   It's time for Mercy's Tuesday sketch!!  YIPPEE!!  This week's sketch is awesome!  I did veer a bit from the original by replacing the top rectangle layer with the flower.  I tried the flower on the rectangle but just couldn't get it to look how I wanted!  I also combined this sketch with another Dare To Get Dirty Challenge from Sharon Harnist, to use red, black and white on a card! (DTGD09StamperSharon)

I used a new set from Papertrey Ink called In Bloom.  The flowers in this set are so beautiful!  I stamped two of the flowers in Fresh Snow Ink (thanks, Becky!) on Pure Poppy DP, cut them out and layered one on top of the other with a dimensional.  The background layers were all run through the Cuttlebug with the Stampin' Up! Finial Press embossing folder.  The ribbon is Pure Poppy Polka Dot from PTI.  The sentiment is from also from a PTI set called Mega Mixed Messages.

I used my new set On My Couch from Papertrey Ink.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this set!  The couches and chairs in this set just speak to me....although I have no idea why!!   I used the Paper Tole technique on the couch.  Don't you love the sentiment?  Fun!!

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday!  I have another card for you today that uses a combo of challenges from the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges over on Splitcoaststampers.  Today's card uses the following challenges:

I absolutely love this color combo!!  I thought I didn't like the new In Colors from SU! but was I ever wrong!  They are brighter than colors I normally use, but they are really growing on me!!  This set from SU!, Simple Friendship, is also a favorite of mine.  Hope you like it!!

TECC75 Butterflies For You

 

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketches!!  I combined this week's sketch with three of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.  The three challenges are Bonnie Sharp's (eggette) Flap Your Wings Challenge and Becca Feeken's (Becca Stamps) Cut It Out Challenge and Jen del Muro's (genie1314) Tag Art challenge.  I look forward to the Dare To Get Dirty challenges every year!  If you're not familiar with them, you can check them out here.  To take part in the Dare to Get Dirty challenges you must be a FAN CLUB Member at Splitcoast.

I used my MUCH NEGLECTED Stampin' Up! set, Great Friend.  I stamped the butterflies in Dusty Durango  on Whisper White and cut them out with Paper Snips.   I adhered them to some layered circle punches (Crushed Curry and Whisper White) and folded their wings out for some dimension.  The fancy little shape behind the cirlces were cut using one of the Sizzix Lots Of Tags die from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment was stamped in Dusty Durango on Whisper White, cut out with a die from Ribbon Tags Trio (Spellbinders) and then sponged with some Crushed Curry ink before removing it from the die.  The ribbon is the new Dusty Durango Polka Dot ribbon.  DP is Razzleberry Lemonade from Stampin' Up!  Aside from the ribbon tag, this entire card is Stampin' Up!
