Mercy's Sketch #71 {MTSC71}

 

Hi there!  It's time for another fabulous sketch from Mercy!  I used my all time favorite Papertrey set, Year of Flowers: Daffodils (AGAIN!).  I ADORE this set and I especially love to paper piece the daffodil!  I'm not sure I'm in love with my patterned paper choices, but I do like the card.  I used three different patterns from the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety pack.  I paired it with some Kraft and Vintage Cream cardstock!

Verve Sneak Peek with Mercy's Sketch {MTSC70}

 

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for Mercy's sketch!  Today is also the beginning of the Verve Sneak Peeks which will lead up to the Verve Release this Friday night in the Verve Forum on SCS!  The party starts at 6:00 pm EST, so be there or be SQUARE!!

The set being peeked today on the Verve Blog is called Relax!  It's a fun and whimsical beach set!  I made a beach scene using three of the images, the palm tree, sun &  just two of the five surfboards included in the set!  The sand is a cool new product I found recently at my LSS called Sand Paste.  It is made by a company called Mudd Puddles.  It was my first time using it and I think I spread it on a bit thick, but I love the look!  The sparkle on the coconuts and sun are from sugared glitter by Doodlebug.

I also decorated the inside of the card because I didn't leave a place for the sentiment on the front of the card.....something I forget to do often!  LOL!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch {MTSC69}

I used the new Springtime Doodles set (Papertrey) on my card.  The colors are Kraft, Orange Zest and White.  I LOVE to color on Kraft!  The effect is so cool looking, IMO!  You'll find the full recipe for my card at the bottom of this post.

{MTSC68} Birthday Girl

 

It's Tuesday and time for another of Mercy's AWESOME sketches!  Today's sketch is SO FUN!  I recently got a boat load of new goodies from Papertrey and hadn't had a chance to play with the new butterfly die and the coordinating set designed by Niki Estes, Butterfly Dreams, and thought tonight was the perfect time!

I used the new Green Boutique dp and paired it with New Leaf, Hawaiian Shores and White.  The sentiment is from Butterfly Dreams and was stamped in Memento Black ink, cut out with Circle Nesties and then embossed with the Picnic Plaid Impression Plate.  I sewed a button on the butterfly and added two more buttons to the end of the double row ruffled New Leaf Twill ribbon.  Mose of the layers were popped up with foam tape!  What do you think?

Another reason I used my Papertrey goodies is because we are welcoming a new guest this month and you'll never guess who it is!!!  DEBBIE OLSON!  Yes, THE Debbie Olson!  Make sure you head on over to her blog to check out her drool worthy creation with Mercy's sketch......and don't forget to give the Muse's some love, too!

{MTSC67} Love Daffodils

 

It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketch challenges!!  I look so forward to Tuesday's every week!  Oh, and just in case you've noticed, yes, this is my third post in just a week using this new stamp set, Year of Flowers: Daffodils, from Papertrey!  I LURVE it!!!  I can't seem to put it away!  But I digress.....

I stamped the daffodil in Memento Tuxedo Black on PTI white, colored it in with Copics and cut it out with a Labels Eight Nestability.  I stamped just the flower portion and let it hang over the edge.....sort of "out of the box"  The color combo is Kraft, White and Spring Moss.   I used the new Vintage Picnic Impression Plate on the Kraft layer.  The ribbon is Spring Moss Satin and the adhesive gems are KaiserCraft!

Mercy's Sketch #66 {MTSC66} and Lisa's Poppy Seed Challenge #2!

  

 
Hi everyone!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's Sketches!  I know I say this week after week, but I love this week's sketch!  I combined this sketch with Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed Challenge #2 to use a button, polka dots and Light Moss on a card.

I recently received a new Papertrey order and couldn't wait to use some of my new goodies!  I used the new set, Flower of the Month:  Violets. This card was totally inspired by this beauty by Debbie Olson! (scroll down to the third card)    I stamped the smaller violet two times in Memento Tuxedo Black on some PTI Pretty Pastels DP and cut it out.  A portion of the second flower was popped up on foam tape.  The leaves were stamped in Memento Black on another pattern from Pretty Pastels and cut out.  The Kraft panel was cut out with the Labels Eight Nestabilities and was embossed with Tin Types Impression Plate from PTI.  Buttons are Spring Moss and the scallops were cut with the Medium Scallop Die from Papertrey.  I finished it off with some Lavender Moon Satin Ribbon and some machine stitching and called it a card!

{MTSC65} Chick Time

 

Hi there Peeps!  I have been CRAZY busy with my girls for the past week and my stamping time has suffered greatly, hence the tardy post with Mercy's sketch {MTSC65}!  I was really scared of this week's sketch!  The three panels intimidated me quite a bit, but I conquered them and ended up really loving this sketch!

I used the newly released Favorite Peeps from Taylored Expressions.  I ADORE this set...so many cute images and sentiments!  I chose to use the chick on the branch since that particular image had not seen ink yet!  It was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Snow White, colored with Copics and cut out with Circle Nestabilities.  It was layered on a Blossom Nestabilities.  All of the cardstock, Basic Grey Kioshi DP, ribbon and flowers come from the Easter Key Ingredients Kit.  These kits are awesome, because everything coordinates so there is no guessing involved when you sit down to create!

{MTSC64} plus Joanne's Fold It Challenge

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's Sketch challenges!  I combined this week's sketch with Joanne Basile's Fold It Challenge, the last challenge leading up to her third Blogaversary!  We had to fold something....paper pleating, paper crumpling, ribbon pleating, etc.....I tried my hand at some ribbon pleating!  FUN!

I used another one of the Stamping Bella images that had not seen ink yet, Scarlett the Teacup Girl.  I am in LOVE with these images!  I paper pieced the flower and the flowers in Scarlett's hair.  The larger flower was popped up for some dimension.  The sentiment is from a Papertrey set called Birthday Basics.

{MTSC63} Joanne's Sew Krafty Challenge

 
  
Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketch challenges!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this week's sketch and paired it with Joanne Basile's Blogaversary Challenge:  Sew Krafty.   You can check out all the details for Joanne's challenge here.

I used Meredith the TeaCup Girl from Stamping Bella.  She's been sitting here uninked just waiting to be used along with a few of her other sisters!  I'm working on it....Ha!  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored her in with Copics and cut her out with Oval Nestabilities.  The DP is the new and adorable Garden Variety DP from Cosmo Cricket.  I ADORE this patterned paper.....ADORE!!  The buttons and satin ribbon are Pure Poppy from Papertrey Ink.  I added a little machine stitching and some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles and called it quits!
