Hi everyone!  I'm back with another one of Mercy's FAB Tuesday Sketches!!  This week I broke out my new set from Stampin' Up! called Greenhouse Garden.  Isn't it pretty?  I am also loving the new In Colors!  I didn't order them at first because I truly couldn't stand them, but I'm loving them now!

The color combo on my card is Melon Mambo, Old Olive and white.  The Melon Mambo DP is from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack and the Old Olive DP is from the retired Haiku DSP.  The flowers were stamped in Melon Mambo, cut out and popped up with dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Papertrey and was punched out with the Modern Label Punch.  I think that should about do it with the details!!  If you ever have any questions, feel free to email me!

Hi everyone!  It's Tuesday and time for Mercy's Sketch Challenge!  I broke out a very new set to me from Stampin' Up! called For All You Do and used the BEAUTIFUL Cottage Wall DSP.  I'm not really a purple person, but I'm starting to like it more and more!!  I even ordered a new cardigan sweater for Fall in the most beautiful shade of purple.....

Anywho...this has been and will be one crazy week around here!  Today is my darling daughter, Sarah's, 8th birthday.  We had a family party for her on Saturday, we spent all day Monday with my Aunt, Cousin and her two beautiful daughters at the pool, today Sarah is getting her ears pierced, and Friday is Sarah's friend birthday party (she gets a friend party EVERY OTHER year)...Sheesh....can't wait until school starts....I NEED MY ROUTINE BACK!!!  LOL!  Only a few more days...

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday!  I have another card for you today that uses a combo of challenges from the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges over on Splitcoaststampers.  Today's card uses the following challenges:

I absolutely love this color combo!!  I thought I didn't like the new In Colors from SU! but was I ever wrong!  They are brighter than colors I normally use, but they are really growing on me!!  This set from SU!, Simple Friendship, is also a favorite of mine.  Hope you like it!!

TECC75 Butterflies For You

 

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketches!!  I combined this week's sketch with three of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.  The three challenges are Bonnie Sharp's (eggette) Flap Your Wings Challenge and Becca Feeken's (Becca Stamps) Cut It Out Challenge and Jen del Muro's (genie1314) Tag Art challenge.  I look forward to the Dare To Get Dirty challenges every year!  If you're not familiar with them, you can check them out here.  To take part in the Dare to Get Dirty challenges you must be a FAN CLUB Member at Splitcoast.

I used my MUCH NEGLECTED Stampin' Up! set, Great Friend.  I stamped the butterflies in Dusty Durango  on Whisper White and cut them out with Paper Snips.   I adhered them to some layered circle punches (Crushed Curry and Whisper White) and folded their wings out for some dimension.  The fancy little shape behind the cirlces were cut using one of the Sizzix Lots Of Tags die from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment was stamped in Dusty Durango on Whisper White, cut out with a die from Ribbon Tags Trio (Spellbinders) and then sponged with some Crushed Curry ink before removing it from the die.  The ribbon is the new Dusty Durango Polka Dot ribbon.  DP is Razzleberry Lemonade from Stampin' Up!  Aside from the ribbon tag, this entire card is Stampin' Up!

Hi everyone!  On Tuesday I participated in the color challenge over at SCS.  The color combo was Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red and a neutral of your choice.  I pulled out a very loved but very neglected Stampin' Up! set called Simple Friendship.  I used the Rock 'n' Roll Technique on the butterfly by first stamping it in Tangerine Tango and then rolling the edges in Riding Hood Red.  I love the look of the two colors together!  The sketch is Jen del Muro's Sketch for You to Try from last Saturday.  The DP is Rockabilly from Stampin' Up!

SC229 Trendy Thinking Of You

 

Hi everyone and Happy Thursday!!  Yesterday I made some time to participate in the sketch challenge over at SCS.  I have had this set from Stampin' Up! called Trendy Trees since the catty first came out and sadly this is the first time it's seen ink!  It won't be the last, though!  This card is also Stampin' Up! only....shocking, I know!  The card is very straight forward, so I won't go into detail, but if you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email!

"CASE"ing Dawn and Amy...

Hi everyone!  Earlier this week I was asked by a Mom at my girls' elementary school if I could make a couple of cards for two families who were going through some difficult times.  Of course I said yes!  I was really busy this week so instead of thinking up two cards on my own I decided to cruise the galleries at SCS and CASE a couple instead!

 

This card is a CASE ofthis beautiful card by Dawn Easton.  I changed it a bit by flipping the sketch on it's side and using an oval for the main image, but this card was completely inspired by Dawn's card!!  Thank you, Dawn!!!

 

This next card is a CASE of this gorgeousness by Amy Rohl.  Sadly, this card needed to be a sympathy card which is something I never keep on hand.  I really hope it brings the family some sort of comfort knowing there are many people out there praying for them.  Thank you, Amy for your inspiration!

True Friend

 Good Saturday morning everyone!  I made this card using the color challenge from earlier this week on Splitcoast, CC209.  The colors are Rose Red, Always Artichoke and black.  I thought it sounded like an interesting color challenge, so I decided to play.

I used my new set, Fifth Avenue Floral, from Stampin' Up!  I stamped the rose four times colored it in with Copics and popped up different parts of the flower for some dimension.  I also added some Dazzling Diamonds to the edges of the rose to give it some shimmer.  The layout is this weeks Mojo 77 from the Mojo Monday blog.  The sentiment is from another SU! set called Simple Friendship.  It's hard to tell from the picture, but the black panel was embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

When I saw the sketch I knew I would use my new set from Stampin' Up! called Simple Friendship along with the GORGEOUS Parisian Breeze Specialty DP.   Aside from the sewing and the Oval Nestabilities, this entire card is Stampin' Up only!!!  That's a rarity these days!!
