The main image on my card is from Anna Wight's just released set called Wildflower Silhouettes.  I inked it up with Baja Breeze and a Chocolate Chip marker.   It was cut out with the long rectangle Nestabilities.  The chocolate panel was scored with a Scor-pal and I added a little stitching around the edges (I know, it's becoming a sickness!).  The sentiment is from another one of Anna's sets called Blooming Expressions.  It was cut out with a Nestabilites Tag die.  The yummy Baja Breeze ribbon is from the Valet Ribbon Originals.  This is the most beautiful ribbon and I'm afraid to run out.  My next order will have another package because it is THAT GOOD!!  LOL!

TECC56 Happiness Grows

  It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketch Samplers!  I must say that this week's sketch was SUPAH fun! 

I inked up this beautiful coneflower from Anna Wight's set called Blossoms and Butterflies.  I masked off the middle coneflower to get them clustered together.  They were colored with Copics and the middle flower is popped up on dimensionals.  The colors are a bit out of the box for me.  I used Chocolate Chip and White (staples for me) but added in some bright Summer Sunrise from Papertrey.  I love this combo!  The sentiment is from another one of Anna's sets called Blooming Expressions.  Notice the stitching.....yes, I'm addicted to my Sew Mini.....happy sigh....

New Anna Wight Wildflower Silhouettes!!

  Hi everyone!  What I have to show you today is a brand new set from Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper, called Wildflower Silhouettes.  This set is GORGEOUS!  All but one of the wildflowers in this set were created from some of Anna's wildflower photographs! 

I inked up one of the flowers from the set with Old Olive, So Saffron, and Tangerine Tango.  Before stamping my image I lightly spritzed some water on the stamp and then stamped it to give it a watercolor look.  I then added some Angel Wings Shimmerz to each flower.  The DP is the retired Haiku DSP from SU!

Friendly Expressions Set, WT204

 Warning:  Long Post!!   Hi everyone!  I have a really cute (In my humble opinion) project to show you today.  I recently purchased one of Lauren Meader's Timeless Templates from Papertrey Ink, called All Boxed Up.  I had seen this adorable project by Dawn Easton and knew I wanted to give it a try!  These templates are downloaded on your computer so it's instant gratification, no need to wait for it to be delivered!  And can I say......EASY and FUN!  I used the newly released set called Friendly Expressions by Anna Wight for Whipper Snapper Designs.  This also qualifies for today's Ways to Use It Challenge over at SCS to layer your embellishments!

 Here is a picture of the inside.  I wanted to keep this very simple and clean.  These pockets hold envelopes on one side and cards on the other.  I have four cards on the left side and four envelopes on the other.  I think this could easily hold double that if your cards are one layer or minimal layers.

   Here are the first two cards.  I kept these VERY simple.  I dressed them up a bit by piercing around the sentiments and a few other places.

 These are the other two cards.  I love the Clean and Simple look of these cards!  I really wanted to embrace the white space, so to speak!!  LOL!

If you stuck with me to the end, I hope you enjoyed seeing this project as much as I had making it!!  I will be doing some more of these in the near future for sure!!

If you're a regular here then you'll know that sketches are my favorite types of challenges!  I love when the hardest part of designing a card is already done for me!  I used a new set that was just released by Whipper Snapper (designed by Anna Wight, of course!) called Friendly Expressions.  The card is pretty straight forward so I won't go into great detail.  You can find the products I used in the recipe below but if you have any other questions feel free to shoot me an email!!

CC202, MTSC18 You're the Best

 It seems like it's been so long since I've done a challenge over at SCS so I was determined to do the color challenge today, CC202 Regal Kisses, Bravo!  I wasn't too sure about these colors when I first saw the challenge, but after making my card I really like them together! 

This image is from Anna Wight's new set for Whipper Snapper called Fish Friends.  This set is so cute!  I stamped the flower in Memento Tuxedo Black two times on Papertrey White cardstock.  I colored the first one in with Copics, cut it out with rectangle Nestabilities and layered it on a piece of Regal Rose cardstock.  I colored just the top portion of the flower on the second image, cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals.  I added a little shine with a Sakura Glaze pen after it was adhered.  The sketch is from Mercy Kerin's blog, Lord Have Mercy.  She posts a new sketch challenge every Tuesday and I recently discovered them and am hooked!  This is sketch #18, MTSC18.  The burgundy DP is from Parisian Summer pack and the Kiwi Kiss DP is from the Bella Rose pack, both are by Stampin' Up!  The sentiment is from the same Whipper Snapper set and was stamped in Memento Black, cut out with a Nestabilities ribbon tag die.  Before I removed it from the die, I sponged some Regal Rose ink all over.  I love the white edge that is acheived by doing that!!  The button is Kiwi Kiss.

I Can Hardly Contain Myself!!

Good Monday to you all!!   Let me take you back in time....one cold December morning I awoke from a very restful slumber (I know you're rolling your eyes), made a cup of my daily International Delight French Vanilla Cafe cup of coffee and gingerly sat down in front of the computer (like I always do) only to find I had an email from Anna Wight (yes, ANNA WIGHT aka Sweet Miss Daisy, aka Whipper Snapper Designer extrordinaire) asking if I would be a Featured Designer for her new Whipper Snapper releases for the months of January and February.  After I came down from my anxiety attack and cleaned up my spilled coffee (a slight exaggeration, but I'm sure you all get the point) I immediately answered back with a resounding "YES!!!"  Does anybody really say NO?   

With that said, Anna's new sets for January are available today!  Unfortunately my sets are scheduled to arrive today so I don't have any samples for you.....yet!!  As soon as I get them I will get to work!  In the meantime you can check out Anna's blog for pics of the new sets and also give a big welcome to all of the other incredible Featured Designers that I have the priviledge of working with for the next two months:

OCC Saturday color challenge

  Hi everyone!!  This Saturday's Our Creative Corner challenge is to use two shades of blue on a card or project.  I LOVE blue but don't use it often enough so this was a fun challenge!  To check out each of the girls' rockin' samples individually, check out their blogs:  Amy, Cindy, Dawn, Denise, Julee, Kim, Laurie, Lynda & Silke.  This week's guest is Julia Aston.  There is no time limit on the challenge so feel free to participate when you can.  If you do participate don't forget to leave a link to your blog or gallery on the OCC blog so we can check out your sample!  If you upload to SCS, remember to use the keyword: OCCC

I really love how my card turned out!  I started with a 5" PTI White base.  The sketch is from Mercy Kerin's blog, Lord Have Mercy (MTSC22)  I just discovered her sketches (what rock have I been under) and they are fabulous!!  The DP is Not Quite Navy patterns DSP from SU!  I paired it with Bashful Blue.  The DSP looks kind of green in my pic, but I assure you its NQN!  I stamped the penguin from Anna Wight's Whipper Snapper set called Cozy Critters, in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored him in with Copics, cut him out with the Labels two Nestabilites, sponged the edges and then ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.  Cindy Haffner does that all the time and it makes it look like snow....so I had to try it!!  I stamped the penguin two more times, colored him and then popped up his whole body and then just his scarf and beak with dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the same set and was cut out with a Nestie Ribbon Tag die and while it was still in the die, I sponged on some Bashful Blue ink.  The ribbon is Bashful Blue Taffeta from SU!   I finished it off with a little faux stitching, some embossed dots down the right side and a Heidi Swapp Ghost snowflake and it was done!!

TECC44 Cozy Christmas

  Hi everyone!  I hope you all survived the feeding frenzy of Thanksgiving!!  We had a wonderful day and I think I'm still full!!  LOL!!  Well today is Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketch Samplers!!  This week's sketch is FANTASTIC!!  I love it so much that I have already started another card that I'll be posting later!  LOL!! 

I have done quite a bit of stamp shopping lately and along my shopping travels ordered some of the new Whipper Snapper sets designed by Anna Wight.  The set I used today is called Cozy Critters.  The sets are so adorable and they stamp BEAUTIFULLY!!

  Here are a few details:  The owl from Cozy Critters was stamped two times in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copic markers.  I cut the scarf out of the second one and popped it up on dimensionals.  I cut it out with circle Nesties but sponged it when it was still in the die with Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Dye.  The round scallop circle is a Marvy Punch.  The sentiment was cut out with a Nestie Ribbon Tag Trio die and sponged just like the owl.  The snowflakes are also from Spellbinders (Nesties).  The clear snowflake on top is a Heide Swapp Ghost shape snowflake.  The button is from Stampin' Up!!
